To broaden channels for external exchanges and comprehensively enhance the level of openness, Deputy Mayor of the Zibo Municipal People’s Government Hu Xiaohong led a delegation to Qingdao for exchange and cooperation activities from January 6 to 7. Shao Aizhi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Zibo Municipal People’s Government, and the heads of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office accompanied the delegation.

Hu Xiaohong and her delegation paid visits to the Consulates General of Japan, South Korea, and Thailand in Qingdao and held discussions. Hu Xiaohong expressed her gratitude to the consulates for their continued attention to and support for Zibo, introduced the city's economic and social development, and promoted its business environment. She also conducted in-depth discussions on major upcoming international events, hoping the consulates would continue to serve as bridges to connect more international resources and deepen practical cooperation between the parties. The consulates expressed their willingness to build platforms for exchange and cooperation in fields such as economy and trade, culture and tourism, and sister cities between China and Japan, South Korea, and Thailand, fostering mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

Moving forward, the Zibo Municipal Foreign Affairs Office will continue to strengthen communication and coordination with foreign embassies and consulates in China, as well as business associations and other institutions, to connect international resources, broaden exchange channels, build cooperation platforms, and carry out more pragmatic and efficient external exchange activities. These efforts aim to contribute foreign affairs support to the city’s high-level opening-up.
