为加强淄博市与马来西亚在友城开拓、商贸、文旅、教育等各领域交流合作，2022年1月13日，淄博市外办与马来西亚国家消费人行动议会举行视频交流会暨合作协议签约仪式。市委外办主任、市外办党组书记路玉田，市外办主任、市对外友协会长李寅萍，马来西亚国家消费人行动议会主席拿督巴杜卡杨国伟博士、马来西亚联邦教育集团中国区董事长周伟参加签约仪式。市外办二级调研员王建忠主持会议。

路玉田主任对杨国伟博士和周伟董事长为淄博市与马来西亚新山市牵线搭桥表示感谢。淄博市与新山市在工业发展、产业结构等方面合作优势明显，希望今后加强双方在高端制造业、商贸、文旅、教育的交流合作。杨国伟博士和周伟董事长分别简要介绍马来西亚国家消费人行动议会、马来西亚联邦教育集团基本情况，并表示愿意在合作框架下积极推动淄博市与新山市在留学生互换、高等教育、高端制造业等各领域的友好交流，同时助力淄博开展与马来西亚全方位的务实合作。视频会上，李寅萍主任与杨国伟博士签署《淄博市人民政府外事办公室与MTPN国家消费人行动议会合作协议》。

此次签约仪式是双方2021年建立联系以来的进一步工作举措。下一步，市外办将用好合作平台，积极发挥作用，稳步推进各项工作。

Establishing a New Platform for Cooperation between Zibo City and Malaysia

Zibo Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and MTPN Signed Cooperation Agreement

In order to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between Zibo City and Malaysia in the fields of sister-city relationship, business, culture and tourism, education and other fields, Zibo Foreign Affairs Office and National Consumer Action Council of Malaysia held a video exchange meeting and signing ceremony on January 13, 2022. Lu Yutian, Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Zibo Committee of the CPC and Party Secretary of  Foreign Affairs Office of Zibo Municipal People’s Government (ZBFAO), Li Yinping, Director of ZBFAO and President of Zibo People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Yang Guowei, Chairman of National Consumer Action Council of Malaysia (MTPN), and Zhou Wei, Chairman of Federal Education Group of Malaysia in China attended the signing ceremony. Senior Deputy Director of ZBFAO Wang Jianzhong chaired the meeting.

Lu yutian thanked Yang Guowei and Zhou Wei for connecting Zibo city with Johor Bahru city, Malaysia. Zibo and Johor Bahru have great cooperation potential in industrial development and structure. The exchanges and cooperation between two sides in high-end manufacturing, commerce and trade, culture and tourism and education will be strengthened in the future. Yang Guowei and Zhou Wei briefly introduced the  MTPN and Federal Education Group of Malaysia respectively and expressed the willingness to actively promote cooperation between Zibo and Johor Bahru in the international student exchange, higher education,the high-end manufacturing. At the video conference, Li Yinping and Yang Guowei signed the Cooperation Agreement between Foreign Affairs Office of Zibo Municipal People’s Government and National Consumer Action Council of Malaysia (MTPN).

The signing ceremony is a further step since the two sides established contact in 2021. In the future, Zibo Municipal Foreign Affairs Office will give full play to the cooperation platform, and steadily promote exchanges and cooperation.
